Shoulderstand Workshop
March 13, 2010. 9:30am–12:30pm with Joe Lindgren. $30 in advance or $35 at the door, or enroll in all three in this series for $75.00
The second in a series of three workshops, take one, two or all three. Inversions can balance and revitalize all the systems of the body. These are challenging poses; we either avoid them completely or we strain ourselves so much to get into the pose that we cause injury to our bodies. In this series of workshops we will learn how to come into these poses safely and with confidence through breath awareness, relaxation, and proper and balanced engagement of the supporting muscles.
The Art of Slowing Down
with Ann Maxwell. Friday - March 19th 6:00-9:00pm $35.00
The Art of Slowing Down Dive into the newly released book by Susi Hatley Aldous and Leo Mowry, Advancing Your Yoga Practice, the Art of Slowing Down. We will take a look at classic yoga poses and explore them with the knowledge of anatomy. These new tools will support your body’s opening and stabilizing thus creating more functionality and freedom in the pose. Perfect for those who want to explore their own pose and/or for those who teach and want to support others with their downward facing dog.

Northwoods Nature Yoga Conference

Deborah Adele will be the keynote speaker for the Northwoods Nature Yoga Conference in Cable Wisconsin. Adele and Maxwell will be featured teachers for the entire conference. Roger crafts sacred space using exquisite musical selections and gentle movement coaching to empower you to find your own dance as prayer. No previous dance experience is required. This evening is a perfect preparation for Saturday's Transformational Movement Workshop, or stands alone as a perfect whole. Wear comfortable clothing for movement. We‘ll explore Laban Effort Action Verbs as movement states that have the potential to support you in understanding your life and experiencing yourself as more significant than your daily experiences. We‘ll conclude our exploration with Trance Dance into the sacred darkness where silence heals, informs and guides you into your next best version of yourself.
